The Beach Bag Edit
Everything that earned a spot in my beach bag this summer.

I’m always here for a what’s in my bag post. I love seeing what people reach for most. It’s a surprisingly cutthroat edit when you think about it. There’s only so much room, so every piece has to earn its spot.
We recently went to the beach and, for the first time in a while, I genuinely loved everything I packed and how I felt while I was there. Lately, I’ve been editing my vanity and closet down to products that truly perform and timeless pieces that make me feel chic and put together.
Since I loved what I packed, I thought I’d share my beach bag version.
Mine leans more capsule than clutter this summer—fewer pieces I’ll actually use and rewear. And after years of testing, I’ve finally landed on the SPFs (for both face and body) that I actually enjoy applying.
Here's everything that made it into my beach bag.
The Bag
I’ve carried this basket bag for a few summers now, and I still reach for it first.
Handwoven raffia, structured enough that it never looks floppy or overstuffed. It goes from sand to lunch effortlessly.
I also love the newer version.
The Body SPF
This feels more like applying body lotion than sunscreen.
No dry or sticky finish—just a silky texture I actually don’t mind reapplying. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid, sea buckthorn, astaxanthin, and vitamin E, so it reads more like skincare than sunscreen.
The Face SPF
I can’t stop talking about these SPFs.
Right now I’m rotating between two: one for glowy, second-skin days and one for when I want a little tint with a more matte finish. Both are mineral. Both are acne-safe.
The Hat
It’s definitely a splurge, but it’s one of those pieces I’ll wear for years. I also wore it more on this trip than I’ve ever worn a straw hat so considering this a huge win.
UPF 50+, real coverage—not the decorative kind you get from most straw hats. It instantly made my swimsuit and sarong feel like an outfit.
The Sunglasses
I’m obsessed with Krewe.
I still own the first pair I bought five years ago, and I still get compliments on them. I added this pair to my collection a couple of years ago, and they go with literally everything. They’re beautifully made, timeless, and I get stopped all the time asking where they’re from.
The Sarong
I wore this almost every day of the trip.
My best friend let me borrow hers, and I ordered one as soon as I got home. It’s the perfect cover-up because you can tie it a few different ways, and it always made me feel put together enough for lunch after the beach.
The Lip SPF
I love that this one has color and doesn’t taste like sunscreen.
Most SPF lip products aren’t exactly enjoyable to wear, but this one feels like a tinted lip gloss with SPF 40. I wear the shade Jazz Berry.
The Sandals
Simple, minimal, and they work with everything—swimsuits, linen pants, sundresses.
These were literally the only shoes I wore on the trip. They also take up almost no room in a suitcase and come with their own little travel bag and this newer style is perfect for beach days.
The Swimsuit
I’m a one-piece stan.
I just think they’re so chic. I’ve had my Vitamin A swimsuit for almost five years at this point, and it’s still the best-fitting swimsuit I’ve ever put on my body. Seriously... what do they put in their swimwear?!
This is the updated version of the one I own (the straps are slightly thinner), I'm also loving this one with the cutout detail.
The New Hobby
I picked up needlepoint this year, and I’m officially hooked.
I honestly like it more than reading on the beach. There’s something about listening to the waves, still being part of the conversation, and stitching that I find so grounding.
It’s become one of my favorite ways to start or end the day, too.
That’s what made it into my beach bag this season.
Now I’d love to know: what’s the one thing that never leaves your beach bag?
